One more shot.. Here goes nothing..
BANG!
A grizzly roar rang throughout the forest, and the beastly silhouette collapsed onto the cold damp ground. I sighed with relief, then quickly walked over to my kill to check if I had actually done the job. I had finished it with that last shot. The bullet had almost missed the heart, but luckily the beast had ran right into it. I heard a whistle to my left, and my head shot up.
"Just barely huh, Ivi?" Alexandria speculated, and casually walked over to my side.
"JUST barely," I repeated.
I had forgotten Alex was flanking me from the left.
We both looked back down at the disgusting blood drenched creature at our feet.
It looked so normal now that it was lifeless.. You wouldn't be able to tell the difference between him and a mere human boy.
However, we know this scent too well. This grotesque stench of venomous blood could only belong to a monster.. Those blood crazed, low class, no good vampires.
"It disgusts me just looking at this filth," Alexandria broke the silence with a disgusted tone.
I looked up at her, and shook my head.
"I know what you mean. Let's torch this bastard, and get back home. I feel like I need a shower after taking care of garbage," I replied, while getting a match out.
She nodded, and started to scatter rock salt over the corpse.
I lit the match, and threw it at the body. We watched the flames burst to life on his back, and spread until the body was swallowed by the flames, and incinerated to ashes.
Alexandria looked at me, and gestured towards home. I nodded in response, and we set back home.
We walked into the door, and a flood of questions came flying at us.
What happened? Where were you? Why are you so late? Did something happen? Are you okay? Are you hurt? Why didn't you-BLAH BLAH BLAH!
"MOTHER!" I shot, and left her mid-sentence.
She jumped a little, but collected herself just as quickly as she was startled.
"Calm down. We just went for some fresh air, it's a nice evening. You should try to enjoy it as well," I answered.
"Darling, you know you can't be wandering aimlessly at nightfall, it's dangerous. What if your father had noticed you were gone?"
Question after question..
"Dangerous?" I scoffed, "I'm sure I can hold my own, I'm not exactly weak," I snorted.
She shook her head, and gave me her business like look.
"Ivina, I'm serious. You may be a she-wolf, but you barely know how to evolve into one yet. Not only that, but you're a young wolf, you scarcely know how to use your powers," she lectured.
I groaned, "Alright, alright. We won't do it again," I rolled my eyes, and dragged Alex upstairs. Mother had said something else, but I was too busy not caring.
We took our showers, and decided to crash in Alex's room.
"Have you noticed there have been an increase in vampires crossing into our territories lately?" Alex questioned while we were staring at the ceiling.
I turned over to face her, and she did so herself.
"Really? I mean, I noticed there have been more, but I didn't know they've been crossing into OUR territory.. They must be morons. Whatever, we'll just kill 'em all," I retorted, and she laughed at me.
"You sure are lady like, Ivi. I bet everyone can tell you're royalty by just hearing you speak," she shot back sarcastically, and nudged my shoulder.
"Shut it," I smirked, and nudged her back. A yawn escaped, and I rubbed my eyes.
"Well, we can talk more about this tomorrow. School starts tomorrow, we'll need all the rest we can get," she yawned, and rolled over.
"Night Doofus."
"Night Dud."
I rolled back over to stare at the ceiling for a little longer..
Interesting day.. I recalled the stench of that low class vampire, and grimaced.
We WOULD need more rest if things like that were going to happen more often.
I let out another yawn, then closed my eyes to drift off to sleep..
I slugged over to my locker, and opened it up to throw my books in.
Waking up was such a hassle.. I really HATE waking up early, but it's better than being home tutored by mom.. Ugh.
I shook my head, and remembered my first period was geometry.
Where's that stupid book?
I started throwing books around in my locker in search for the book, but was interrupted when someone bumped into me, and I hit my head on my locker.
"WHAT-THE-FU-"
"Watch where you're standing freshmen," interrupted my outburst.
I took a second to analyze what was said, and became furious.
"FRESHMEN?! Who the hell are you talking to rich boy?!" I noticed his overly priced burberry scarf, along with his expensive polo shoes, and grimaced.
"Who else am I talking to? Peasants should know their place," he shot back icily.
...Oh-HELL-NO!
"Okay, LISTEN. Bitch. I don't know WHO you think you are, but as I recall, you were the one who bumped into ME, so how about you apologize, and we can BOTH carry on with our day,".
He stared at me, then smirked all of a sudden.
"..You just want my attention, huh?" he still had his smirk on.
"Wha?!" I was bewildered, what in the world is going on in this child's head?
"You must be that girl whose obsessed with me. Sora told me you were rude, but it's only an act to get my attention, isn't it? Alright, you don't have to pretend anymore, you have my utmost attention," he reached out to touch my face, but I quickly smacked it away.
"DON'T touch me with your filthy hands! Listen conceited, I have NO clue who you are, but you better hope if you EVER let something like this happen again, I'll make sure you know what Hell looks like," I sneered, slammed my locker shut, and stormed off.
I was mentally cussing in my mind, until someone pulled me back to reality.
"Ivi! Do you know who you just bitched at?!" It was Alex, and she looked kind of freaked out.
"No! He was some cocky ass hole! I HATE people like him! You know that!" I shot back.
"Dude! That was Ian Akimoto! The New Rich kid in school! On top of that he's also the, HOTTEST guy here! How could you bitch out someone with a gorgeous face like THAT?! I can never talk to him now! Damn you!!" Alex pouted, and stomped a bit.
"Will you RELAX? He probably doesn't even know we're best friends. Talk to him all you want, but I am NOT hanging with him. Don't bring him home either, unless you want human for dinner," I replied menacingly, and she groaned.
The bell finally rang, and I used that as an escape from Alex's whining.
"Oh! Bell! BYE!" I spat, and ran off to homeroom.
She looked like she was scrambling for words to shout after me, but I didn't hear anything, and sighed.
Boy, what a way to start school. I rolled my eyes, and walked into my homeroom.
I looked towards my seat, but my eyes shot back to the sight before me.
Oh.. No...
